ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems (TSAS) is a scholarly journal that publishes high-quality papers on all aspects of spatial algorithms and systems and closely related disciplines. It has a multi-disciplinary perspective spanning a large number of areas where spatial data is manipulated or visualized (regardless of how it is specified - i.e., geometrically or textually), such as: geography, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial and spatiotemporal databases, spatial and metric indexing, location-based services, web-based spatial applications, geographic information retrieval (GIR), spatial reasoning and mining, securing and privacy, as well as the related visual computing areas of computer graphics, computer vision, solid modeling, and visualization where the spatial, geospatial, and spatiotemporal data is central.

Call for Nominations: Editor-in-Chief
The term of the current Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems (TSAS) is coming to an end, and the ACM Publications Board has set up a nominating committee to assist the Board in selecting the next EiC. Nominations, including self-nominations, are invited for a three-year term as TSAS EiC, beginning on July 1, 2024. The EiC appointment may be renewed at most one time. This is an entirely voluntary position, but ACM will provide appropriate administrative support. For more information and to read the full call, click here.
ACM Updates Its Peer Review Policy
ACM is pleased to announce that its Publications Board has approved an updated Peer Review Policy. If you have any questions regarding the update, the associated FAQ addresses topics such as confidentiality, the use of large language models in the peer review process, conflicts of interest, and several other relevant concerns.
